yes that is my shower

My "safe" outfit, aka what I wear when I feel like shit and I don't know what else to pull out of my closet.
  • necessary objects skirt and cardigan
  • h&m tank
  • target tights
  • pearl necklace from art fair
  • fish bone necklace from Asian friend

These are Celine shoes. They were originally $400, but I got them for $80 at DSW. They were having the most amazing shoe sale. I wish this picture wasn't so shitty, but they're really pretty.

west

have you ever been like "nahh yo the West Coast is mad dirt, tots grime, breh."
if you have, you're wrong.
and this is why.

See's candy is straight up delicious.
I got it in a parcel from a friend in California, and it's still soft and perfect as hell.
these are delicious, and I suggest you all get a nice friend on the west coast to send you some.

sondre lerche is doable.
and has adorable ruvvy-dovey music.

Words, Words, Words

Yes, that is a projection. And yes, it is freaking awesome.

This is the work of Jenny Holzer who happens to have a show up at the Whitney now. I kinda really want to see her show, but alas, stupid school gets in the way. Hopefully, I'll get to see her over Spring Break, but we'll have to see about that.

Her work primarily focuses on politically charged words and phrases she chooses and she does a lot of public projections of them on huge buildings (I love installations, and I wish I had the resources to do one). I think I also remember reading that her favorite medium is the poster, which I find incredibly awesome. It's sort of the melding of the commercial with the artistic, and I dig that (which is a little strange since I'm not the biggest fan of commercial art).

GO TO HER SHOW AT THE WHITNEY. I'm sure it's killer.
